“Ivan” was built as an addition to the fleet of saunas at Connect Wellness in Vancouver, WA. There it functions as the “silent sauna” in their spa operations. It is a wood burning sauna featuring the largest exterior feed wood burning stoves on the market. It was carefully designed with improved ventilation techniques to get great löyly and a soft, even heat across the entire space. This sauna can fit 10 people comfortably.
Ivan’s interior is Western Red Cedar paneling with locally sourced Red Alder benches. Deep benches gives ample space for two tiered seating and room to lay out comfortable. The exterior feature wall is reclaimed Douglas Fir. A large view window connects the space with its outdoor setting. The sauna also features interior and exterior LED lighting, two exterior showers along the back side, an entrance porch with shelf and towel rack (not shown), a roof that can be adapted into a green living roof, and a design that anticipates the removal of the trailer axle for an eventual permanent location.
